The Sovereignty of God.

God is sovereign: self-governing, independent, and possessing supreme authority; He rules and controls the universe, and nothing occurs without God’s permission. At the same time, the Bible describes God as offering humanity choices and holding them personally responsible for their sins. That God predestines and that man is responsible are two things that few can see. They are believed to be inconsistent and contradictory, but they are not. It is just the fault of our weak judgment. If then, I find taught in one place in the Bible that everything is fore-ordained, that is true; and if I find in another place that man is responsible for all his actions, that is true; and it is my folly that leads me to imagine that two truths in the Bible can ever contradict each other.  The system of truth is not one straight line but two. No man will ever get the right view of the gospel until he knows how to look at the two lines at once - Charles Spurgeon.

The sovereignty of God can be one of the most challenging doctrines to grasp. At times, it can be controversial as people debate how sovereign God is concerning human beings' free will. In this episode, Costi Hinn takes us back to the basics of God's sovereignty and challenges us to view this doctrine through the lens of Scripture alone.

God is Sovereign, which means Supreme in power, Superior in position to all others, independent of and unlimited by any other Supreme. I realize God's marvelous sovereignty and how he engineers the most unlikely things to bring about his holy purposes.
